Who Am I???

You are looking at a Maryland raised gentleman with Southern and New York roots; birthed in the Capital of these (at times) great United States! At a early age, I have noticed that I have always shared a deep love and appreciation for the arts.

 

My first love was sketching and drawing any and everything I would see around me on paper. From there, it was creating stories and poetry that I extracted from my imagination. Ultimately, Music found me, and completely changed my life. While receiving my bachelor's degree at Morgan State University in Music, I noticed that I was unable to free myself from my passion for writing. I would dare say that the techniques that I learned in my musical training helped me to shape the pulse and cadence in my creative writings.

 

As a full-time teacher, I saw the impact of my words in the lives of my students. On paper, I strive to use the pages of my expressions as a vehicle to skillfully portray emotions and create an outlet for others, and myself, to release raw emotions that may seem difficult to show and convey verbally. Writing helps me to finds ways to translate real emotions into beautiful and elegant music through poetry, storytelling, and world building.
