London Engulfed
Sitting alone,
Replaying events from our past in my mind,
Counting to rationalize our continuation,
But no remedy was left to find,
Inhaling the last of your presence,
And exhaling the cloud of your existence;
I flick you onto the planks and begin my new expedition,
While the winds of the world,
and the voices of the skies begin to blow,
flames of ignorance and betrayal and deceit quickly grow;
overtaking the path, and the place that I once occupied,
Reaching the clouds you now sit on and stroking the sky,
The intensity of the heat,
climbed upon my back,
Forcing me to observe,
the damage and the lack,
but out of concern, I thought, "what did I do",
until I realize this choice was all because of you....
